they are kinda expensive too! and they have a weird part name: "unisia jecs" left and right...

what does that mean? lol
anyway, I tried the kragen ones....they crapped out after a year...so I guess it's back to the nissan ones...

i got a set of strong arms for $9.99 each (or even cheaper i forget) from my dad's work...they've been holding up pretty well but in the cold they aren't so good.

i've been considering buying one of those clamps that cost $6 that lock them. i've also been thinking about either making/getting a hood prop, or trying to install some from a volvo that have built in lockers on them.

Yea, we've had a solution to that for awhile.

Vice grips.

it sucks when the hood falls on your head when your under there. it hurts. i just use a baseball bat to hold my hood up now.

I recently bought one of those little clamps that you screw onto the hood strut to keep it up. Before this I was using visegrips. The clamp I have now is small and very convienent to keep my hood up. I'd say for you to get one of those instead of replacing the hood struts every years or so..
