well, i ordered mine from s.w.a. and im not sure about the d2's, but i love my teins, i have em droped almost all the way. sorry, im not a suspension person, but after cheap coilovers and springs, these ride way better and the quality is great. no pics... yet

Thanks for your responses. I definitely don't plan to be adjusting the coilovers once they're on. Is that the only advantage to the D2s?
It seems like I could save about $100 if I go with the Teins, so I'm basically just trying to figure out if it's worth it to spend the extra dough on the D2s or not.

just go with brand name, and besides, what are you going to do with D2's?
is not like you will be changing your setting all the time.

Whats the price diff, if it isnt much, go with tiens.
For one thing you will get them in time, iv'e ben waiting 3 months now and i have lost hope. I hear many people are having issues and everyweek the expected delivery date gets pushed back...

I love my Basics. I don't care to adjust the settings all the time and these come set from the factory at the best strut settings for the spring rate. I've never hit the bumpstops and I'm always running over junk. I lowered them pretty far down too. They are definitely a quality piece.
The only funky thing you have to worry about when you install them is that the holes for the lower strut mounts on the front are too small, so you'll have to drill them out a bit. Strange, I know, but whatever.
As I said, I'm lowered pretty far (about 1 - 1.5 finger gap) and I just got my alignment today and I wasn't even that far out of spec, so that's cool.
All said, I love 'em.

At reccomended height, yes. Anything lower is asking for trouble without a stiffer spring, but I don't have trouble with mine unless the surface is super bad.

The best deal I've found so far is $845 shipped. Anybody know of anything better?

I got mine from Ange at www.redlinemax.com for 825 shipped.
Onramps and offramps with these coilovers rock. I think now that mine have settled I'm going to drop it a tiny tiny bit further next wheel rotation.

I've been talking to my mechanic about doing the install of the Tein Basic Coilovers and he's skeptical of dropping the rear more than 1" because of the camber. I've found a front camber adjustment kit, but not one for the rear and he thinks that the stress on the tires would wear them too much. Does anybody know of any rear camber adjustment kits? If not, how are your rear tires holding up?
