uncontrollable speakers!
I have a 96 with the stock panasonic speakers. I went on a two week vacation and came back to find that any time I hit a bump in the road my speakers would stop working. Well the problem has gotten worse, I can rarely control their volume and about 90% of the time they just don't work. With my limited knowledge of speaker systems, I thought I just blew the speakers... but after asking around this may not be the case. They seem to have a mind of their own, getting loud then getting so low you can barely hear them at all and sometimes... only sometimes can you actually turn the volume **** and control them. They do turn completely off and back on... it's just the volume aspect. Any comments or suggestions would be great!

Don't you think it's your radio then? They are all connected to the head unit, not to each other, I don't think at least. The connector is probably loose. First try all the common sense possibilities, then as questions. This is the wrong forum BTW.

A speaker doesnt have the ability to get louder. The head unit is most likely the cause of your problem.
Open up your console and make sure your connections are all good. Chances are its the radio itself and will require a replacement.
Good luck with that.
