when i brake my clock dims and my gauges light up!

Well during the day my tail lights work fine its just that when i brake the interior lights come on.But at night my third brake light stays on but when i brake my lights get brighter of course. But i was wondering what should i check for to fix this??I was thinking it was because i opened my tails to do the DTM...And maybe water leaks in?

You have a parking lamp bulb in the wrong way forcing current into the dash & clock when you brake. Disconnect them one at a time to see which one is either shorted out or in the wrong way.

joeeey is right, usually if a problem starts after you've done something to the car, recheck your work no matter how simple or complicated and you'll usually find the problem. double contact bulb in single contact socket or vice versa can wreak havok on the lighting.
