Cost of upgrading your auto VS swapping to a 5spd are close.

Cost of uprgarding your auto and repairing your broken auto is more than a 5sp swap

How would cryo treating an auto help? Its the clutch packs that burn up and fail.

HAL had the stock 5 speed with a performance clutch. So i don't know what the big deal is. I will try to make one for an auto but thats an whole story. There is way more room in a 5speed than an automatic. Everyrthing starts from somewhere so trial and error it can be done. What do i have to loose as of now, few dollars? Well anyone is intrested please let me know. BTW i seen pics of the turbo pipes, its an modified aftermarket y-pipe thats all. Few other pipes that can be made.

Please people understand this. We are in the process of fabricating. Nothing has been done yet. the only thing has been done at this point is that, i asked machine shops around where i live, they quoted me some very reasonable prices. Its going to be easy when we start buying some after market y-pipes. From the looks they can be modified. If everything thing goes to plan and we have the complete kits (All the Piping) we will ship to 50 states so basically you need your turbo acc.. Please any serious inquires please PM. We are looking for few people to help and get this off the ground.

Probabaly someone have tried using the stock exhaust but from my knowledge back pressure would cause the turbo to creep and thus ur pressure which is let say 10 psi would spice up to like 16-20 psi at 5k rpm and causing bad things.

Any particular reason to reinvent the wheel here?

Wait, so you're saying that excessive exhaust backpressure leads to boost creep?

I think you got it backwards. The more free flowing your exhaust is, the more likely you are going to have boost creep.

Last time i checked, GrammEr was spelled GrammAr. Check yourself before you flame others man. They're just trying something out, if you dont like it, thats fine, but if you cant spell, dont point that out to others either. And you spelled it wrong twice, so it wasnt just a mistake

Actually there are two different spellings for the word, and they are often confused.

i'd be more interested in the turbo too, but when people come on and flame about stupid sh*t, it pisses me off. They're trying to do something, so why knock it? And I'm not a fan of seeing a swastika...

And grammar is only spelled one way.

So I guess if you guys want to offer just the pipes cheap cool. But what makes you think you can build any cheaper than the exisiting kits?

I guess if you want to offer the pipes cheap, you two are also willing to eat the developement and jig costs. Also the costs for mock up and any other costs that are involved. What if you build one and it doesn't fit? Then you have to build another? What if you set up the jigs and it's wrong? Then you have to redo the jigs. You guys must be eating all those costs too correct?

cant you rebuild/bullet proof your auto tranny and thus making it stronger than the 5sp. There was thread a while back with a guy who was goin to spend bout 3 grand on upgrading his AUTO tranny to get it ready for boost. And everyone agreed it would be a good choice becuase the auto doesnt have the down time during shifts like the 5sp does. i might be wrong.

Well you can start by ignoring the GRAMAR (yes I saw the mistake before you edited ) and answer my questions.

Yes jeff we going to spend alot of time and efford to come up with right size piping and to make it all fit into place. And yes it takes certain amount of budget involved into this project but once we make the first set of pipes that fit we can recreate em with a fraction of the cost and effort.
And yes we are willing to eat the developement costs unless some one want to devote some money into this project, but I dought it.
