I dont mean tools i mean like anything that has to do with new parts. Also are they mandatory to get such as like bearings or anyything. My boots are fine.

you can use the old ones that are on there

but since you have the assembly off there anyway you can save yourself the time/hassle of removing it again when your bearings and mounts go out after 8 months

been wondering this too and another thread was started before but the list wasnt completed maybe we can make a list and sticky it to save people time in the future.

When dropping good idea is:

-new struts mount front and rear ( prob mzmtg's)
-bearings (whats the name again )

-feel free to add
-feel free to add
-feel free to add
- also a good place to get them from for a good price

i think the best bet is OEM, but a crappy price...i would've replaced mine already if the price was lower

but also replace the orange ring on the strut assembly, i think its the noise reducer or something

so i guess the list is:
front strut mounts
front strut bearings
front noise reducers
.......i don't pay much attention to the rear ones since they never make any noise

- get rear strut mounts from mzmtg
- get KYB dustboots
- get front strut bearings (rears don't have bearings because the strut does not turn)

that's all you really need. Getting mounts is pointless unless the stock ones are bad. My stock mounts were perfect, including the orange "noise reducer". Then again, my car is a 99, the youngest of all 4th gen.

Anyhow, getting these new parts is just wasting money IMO. Only reason I got rear strut mounts from mzmtg is because they give me a little more suspension travel in the back. Otherwise, stock mounts are fine so NO, YOU DO NOT need to get either.

thank you. I think I'll inspec my front noise reducers, and the rear cause I can rear the rear easy when I'm driving its weird.

Yeah thinking about getting shocks as well, but if in my case I'm going to save up for all the ES Bushings, rear sway bar, and strut bar including the rear strut mount for longer shock-rod travel.
