I just painted my calipers last night gloss black. I even painted the part of the rotor that makes contact to the rims. They look sweet but, i over sprayed onto the surface of the rotor. And for some reason the rear left rotor got it really bad. I tried driving around the block to burn off the paint but it just got worse. The other three look normal except for that one still.
Will it eventrually burn off after driving for a while?
I need advise please help!

Trying to burn off the paint by using the brakes risks contaminating the friction material with gummy residue of the paint. I suggest you remove the rotor, scuff it up with emery cloth, and reinstall it.

Just did mine 2 weeks ago too. I bought caliper spray paint but used a small brush to apply it - much more accurate than spraying IMO. Brake cleaner took care of any extra too.

I also used gold colored anti-seize compound on the rotor areas that met the wheel. Looks better than the rust.

painted calipers

When i got paint on my rotor, i just used brake parts cleaner to clean it off. But that was about 1.5 hours after i applied the paint, so it might not have been dried yet.

I actually had the same problem but I just drove around and it eventually came off. Good luck!

By the way, I have for sale FoliaTec Caliper paint $60. I can get them in red, blue, silver, gold, and black. This is a very good price so if you want one please email me at: stricklymaximas@hotmail.com

Easy enough... Drive around at a nice speed (maybe like 20-25mph) and pull on your E-brake letting the car slowly brake. Do it in a residential area and after a few pulls of that slow speed braking (which is the rear tires only) you should have no problem with it. (DO NOT abruptly pull the brake up as if you are parking the car. Simply push the release button while pulling up on the handle, and use it like a regular brake...)

That high temp paint is NO match for the friction and the heat generated by you braking like that. Under normal driving, the front brakes are probably used probably 90% of the time, leaving the rears to do a little bit of assisting. All you need to do, is concentrate the braking to the rear tires...

Try it a few times... See what happens... Did this when I painted the calipers on my old car...
