Sticky Shifter when car is cold

Coming out of first going to second it feels like i really have to pull harder than i should have to to get it out of first gear. Is this something that is related to the cold weather? Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Switch to a synthetic tranny fluid. But make sure it's GL-4 rated only.

Redline MT-90 will solve all your problems !!

Its due to cold weather, i got the same here in MN until i put it in. Now i go to college in the coldest part of MN (far north) and it slides in and out of gears pefect when its -10 * .

Good Luck.

It is def. due to cold weather. I had teh same problem when i was up at State College, PA in January. I just let my car run for 2 mins b4 i drove, but even if you dont, it is normal. And like that other guy said, use GL-4...ive only heard real bad things if you use GL-5 wit our cars

I would hardly call forcing it in equal to "goes right in" lol

i always

i always move the shifter through all the gears before i take off when the car is warm.. what i do also is i go from first to third the first time i take off in the morning.. and i let the car cruise.. when i stop in the light.. i just hit the clutch and move the shifter a bit more.. sometimes its not the actual tranny fluid but the shifter itslef... under the car when the shifter connects to the tranny, it has some bearings and a longs thick screw with grease.. sometimes those things freeze up alittle..theres very little that we can do besides wait a few minutes for it to warm up.

JERSEY, GET READY FOR SOME MORE DAMN SNOW !!!!!!
