Every once in a while recently, I put my key in ready to start up the car and I get this horrible noise, kind of hard to describe, kind of like a squealing noise. All I do is turn the engine off right away, wait a few seconds, put in, turn, and it starts fine. Any ideas? Today after school I tried to start the car and I turned the key, and got no response at all, not even the squealing noise. Scared me, but a couple cranks later, good as new.

Starter, Battery, something else? My maintenance history says a new battery was installed on 2/04 - so it wasn't too long ago, is it likely a battery will start to die in about a year and a half?

And finally, I have a system with 2 12's, and two amps, etc, would this put a lot more stress on the battery and cause it to prematurely die (if the problem is even the battery..)?

Check the wire harness. Im gettin some starting troubles and thats the only thing that came up at the shop on the computer that was wrong with MY car.. Besides axles so yeah. Someone correct me?
