question about strut install...

thinking of swapping out my kyb's for some tokico's, so ive been reading all the intall how to's i can find on here.. i have a couple questions though.. on one of the how to's, it tells you to mark where the spring ends on the strut boot. i assume so when you re-intall, it goes in the exact same place. now, if you have aftermarket springs, where the lettering tells you what side is up, and the lettering faces out, do u still need to do this? what if your changing those too? lets say you buy a set of kyb strut boots, do they only install one way? or are all of the holes spaced equally apart, so you would be able to turn the boot and have it fit several different ways? what is the reason for having to do that in the first place? also, when you finally get the assembly out of the car, and are at the point where you take the center bolt off the top of the strut, is the strut bearing part of those peices your removing?

lets say i want to replace everthing i can when i take these out... what exactly come with the struts, and what do i need to buy seperate? do they come with new strut bearings? i know they dont come with the strut boots. what about the paper and rubber noise insulators? or am i going to have to buy all of the above seperately?
