Hi guys. I have problem with acceleration over 110mph. My maxi does it but very slow. I dont know whats wrong with it

 

turn overdrive off until you red line in third.. then read stickies

 

also, its not a race car, its a sedan.

 

the problem is ur going 110, were u at the track???? no...then dont go 110 unless u have illegal immigrants in ur car and you have a lot of crack. Then u can go 110, other wise dont go that FAST.

 

Take the OD off, pray, and hope theres no one else on the road.

in addition my sisters chevy prizm over 100 mph accelerates faster than my maxi

 

your sister's chevy prizm shouldn't be going that fast either. especially with the tires those things come with stock...

your whole family drive that fast?

This thread is rediculous. And for the record, you don't have to go 110 to prove you aren't a p|_|ssy, 85 is plenty. Also, part of your problem is you bought an automatic. So that makes you a p|_|ssy. (no offense to autotragic drivers that have specific reasons for their choice in transmission)

The obvious question is what servicing has the car received of late? When were the spark plugs last changed, air filter, fuel filter, etc. etc. What about the knock sensor?
Have you ever added fuel injector additives or had them cleaned?

What kind of gasoline do you run - 87 octane?

I alvays put 93 oct gas to my car. Wfrom items which u listed all of them are new. only knock sensor wasnt chacked. you think that may be a problem??

 

your english is difficult to understand...but in regards to your last statement, i go over the speed limit and speed, but not at speeds that i'd be automatically arrested or speeds that i can't control my car. i'm not even going to give you the at those speeds...anything can happen...blah blah blah control the car, etc. because hopefully you already know.

i'll stop wasting my time and this bandwith because i know eventually will catch up to you and they'll, hopefully, make you listen.
