Someone told me that the NGK IRIDIUM IX are good spark plugs to buy. If not what type should I get?

 

They work fine. If you are not boosted/juiced then "stock" heat range is fine... check the NGK site.

 

There are mixed opinions on this. Some people get bad reactions, some dont.

My Take on it is that they are much too expensive.

Coppers work just fine, for 30K miles. $2 ea
Platinums go for 60K miles. $11 ea

I'd save the money. They dont do anything special and they are expensive.

I paid $20 plus $5 shipping for 6 NGK Laser Platinums on eBay.

 

I paid 36 shipped for 6 ngk iridiums on ebay. Now that theyre installed the car sounds so much better when idling. I have no complaints

 

Good plugs but no better than coppers for a non boosted car. Save your money and get the coppers I say.
