lo-beams cut off when hi-beams are on, any ways around it?

I'm going to retrofit a set of E46 bi-xenons into the maxima sometime after april. if i recall correctly, the lo-beams cut off when the hi-beams are on. that mean if i turn on the hi-beams to trigger the bi-xenon, the HID ballasts would turn off because it will be hooked to the lo-beams by relays. is there anyways around that?

also, the 97 headlights should fit my 96 right? will there be any difficult modifications to make it fit?

Go to hidplanet.com and read. They have a how to section which tells you how to get around that.
