Coin Holders
i remember seeing somebody using the coin holders as switches.. i just want to know if anybody has seen this before and if they know how to do it and what kind of switch it is.
thanks |
yes i am planning to do it soon for some fogs im putting in. you can dremel out the section of the coin holder and put a switch in there while wiring under it.
they just dont pop out
yeah, they do. it's easier if you take the center console out and push on them from underneath though.

sweet.. is there a switch out there that fit perfectly in there.. because when i saw the max that had it the switch had like a cover over it
nobody anybody
coin holder? this must be a 95-97 thing
more like a "people without heated seats thing". the heated seat switches go where the coin holders are.
i have some heated seat switches that i pulled out of a junk max. if i ever want a switch in those coin holders, i'll just modify one of those i think. |
then i must have a real rare car- i got no coin holders and no heated seats. i think its the years
Maybe my memory is bad (I haven't driven my Maxima in a while), but I don't remember having any coin holders either.
I bet you could get a seat heater switch and pop that in there. Then connect it to anything you want. I want to do that.
95 and 96 have coin holders just in front of the console lid. 97 and up have the switches somewhere else on the console...and a true cup holder with a lid. The 95 and 96 cup holder sucks. That's why we're always looking for the newer consoles.
i think the switches are supposed to b behind the shifter. i can see a faint rectangular shape in my console and im bettin its a cutout for heated seat switches and prob coin holder on older maxes
