Coin Holders

i remember seeing somebody using the coin holders as switches.. i just want to know if anybody has seen this before and if they know how to do it and what kind of switch it is.

yes i am planning to do it soon for some fogs im putting in. you can dremel out the section of the coin holder and put a switch in there while wiring under it.

yeah, they do. it's easier if you take the center console out and push on them from underneath though.

sweet.. is there a switch out there that fit perfectly in there.. because when i saw the max that had it the switch had like a cover over it

more like a "people without heated seats thing". the heated seat switches go where the coin holders are.

i have some heated seat switches that i pulled out of a junk max. if i ever want a switch in those coin holders, i'll just modify one of those i think.

Maybe my memory is bad (I haven't driven my Maxima in a while), but I don't remember having any coin holders either.

I bet you could get a seat heater switch and pop that in there. Then connect it to anything you want. I want to do that.

95 and 96 have coin holders just in front of the console lid. 97 and up have the switches somewhere else on the console...and a true cup holder with a lid. The 95 and 96 cup holder sucks. That's why we're always looking for the newer consoles.

i think the switches are supposed to b behind the shifter. i can see a faint rectangular shape in my console and im bettin its a cutout for heated seat switches and prob coin holder on older maxes
