Have the system pressure checked.
Make sure your condensor is clean (cooling fins).
Make sure your condensor fan is running properly.

FYI, I have never been too impressed with R-134a systems as of yet. R-12 kicks a$$. Live in San Antonio and gets in the 100s though.

maybe that's as cold as it gets

Like Dan said, R134a systems are not as cold as the old R12 systems (which blew ice crystals from the vents in my old VW). I think the AC in my Maxima is adequate, but no more than that.

Install an autostart kit in your max and let it clill while you are getting ready to leave.Same goes for the winter months.

I was sitting in my friend's TL the other day and his climate control goes as low as 60-degree. Do Acura's have better AC?

I agree

The Honda/Acura auto climate controls are a lot FASTER at getting to the ideal temperature. That is pretty much what you are judging when you say "how cold" they are. Plus they have, in my opinion, more powerful fans!

But anyways, we cant really compare the modern climate control to the older generation ones, especially from the 3rd gen because they used Freon in their systems (much better, but not good for the enviro).
