Ecu 1205, Don't Drop Your Trans Yet!!!!
After about 10 hours under the Max this weekend, and changing 2 transmissions, I've discovered that even following install of Nissan's new Shift solenoid TSB package, the trans may is ok. Have the "bad" one sitting on the bench w/ the junkyard one in the car.
Complete diag from one of the best trans guys around (who bypassed PCM and set shift points through some sort of hand held device) shows a short, of some sort, between Solenoid and PCM. He's tracking down at $55/hr but at least has some sympathy for a guy who's spent $1200 already and has a car that still shifts badly.
Anyway, before you drop a trans for ECU code 1205, take it to someone who knows more than what a guy like me can learn here (sorry, that's my knowledge base, not meant to be a negative comment towards those of you w/ more diagnostic acumen than I).
