Strange: start car, idle rises to 2k and stays there...

Like the title says, I was refueling my car with the engine shut off, after I filled her up with 93 like usual, I go to fire it up and it rev's to 2k and stays up there, almost as if I had my foot on the gas...

At first I quickly checked to see if i had the gas pedal depressed at all or if it was stuck on the carpet, but everything looked normal. I was about to shut it off but before I tapped on the break pedal which suprizingly lowered the spiking idel speed by a little bit!!!After a couple (3-4) quick taps of the break pedal (while in park the whole time) it slowly inched back to normal 750 rmp idel...

Now this has only happenede to me before once, last time was at a Burger King, I freaked out and quickly shut the engine off right as the rpms began to climb, restarted and its back to normal...this leads me to think its not the pumping of new fuel that did it...which leaves me in a stump.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this, or suspect anything abnormal that I can check myself??? Besides these two times, my idel stays at a perfect 750 (automatic)

possibly a vacuum leak. when the motor rocks from you pressing the gas it may be resealing itself. I ran into that after my motor swap on my other car, a hard plastic vacuum line had a split in it and dependent on engine position it would reseal. its pretty easy to test. I believe it was throttle cleaner that we used and sprayed the vacuum lines and when it hit the one cracked it reved up, then we just replaced the line.
