are the buttons on the climate control (gle) suppose to light up? Sometimes in the dark its hard to find the buttons, but I don't know if its made that way since I bought the car this way.

I've been wondering the EXACT same thing. I have a '97 GLE and my auto climate is a PAIN IN THE **** to see at night. I always have to turn on the dome light to see..

yeah, they are suppose to light up. your bulbs probably went out. you could replace them by going to your local dealership. they cost around $4 a piece. i believe there are either 4 or 5 bulbs for the auto climate control.

Same here as well, all are out. Is it just twist and pull out like our gauge bulbs?

you can only get it from a dealer?
Also, this is a stupid question, but for the ac, you just set it to 65 degrees or is there a mode for ac?

The AUTO button might as well be called A/C. Whenever it says AUTO, your A/C is on, no matter what the temp is. If it says ECON, the A/C is off. So press AUTO or ECON first, then select fan speed or position if desired.
