dropped my Tein Basics all the way...
I decided to drop my Tein Basic coilovers all the way yesterday to see what the difference was. I only got about a half inch lower and even though the wheels were just barely tucked, I couldn't get over speed bumps, they made lots of noise, and the ride was noticeably harsher. Today I raised them back up to where they were before.
Lesson learned: Don't drop the Basics all the way. I have them set so I can see 5 threads below the stops in the front and 3 threads in the back; the stance is just about level with it slightly higher in the rear and the ride is wonderful again.
FYI for anyone who has them and thought about trying, or to those who want to get them and are curious.

The correct way to adjust coilovers is with a corner weight scale. Most people purchase them to adjust ride height to their liking. Thats actually not the correct way to make coilovers ride and handle their best.
A corner weight scale puts all 4 wheels on their own scale and weighs them out individually. Then your coilovers should be adjusted for both ride height and balance from left to right. Thats how you get the untimate ride and handling out of a set of coilovers. If you don't adjust them that way, your really not doing any better then a coil spring and strut setup.
