I have a mod idea...

No I have absolutely no clue if this would work or if any one has even attempted with any success at doing this but hey here it is i was swaping my gauge bulbs out for some new bulbs and i noticed there is a center spots for Park Reverse Nutral and so on so i was looking at mybe dremmeling out the stock bezel and fitting in this face piece from a 92 93 pathfinder gauge faces on ebay ((RED SQAURE)) into the bezel along with some 74 or 194 sockets (depending on your yr max) and some bulbs. I figured the white would go great with some of our SE's. what do you guys think? would this work or is it just another dumb idea? Mybe cut out thoughs ugly squares and just use the letter part.

Good thinking, but this thread came up last week. You would need to obtain parts from a foreign max...forget which

I posted a thread about this last week or so, but I guess it's not really going to get off the ground. It seems you'd need to run wires from the shifter to the gauge cluster, in order to get the signal on what gear the car is in. Unless someone helps us (me) out with this, there isn't much we (I) can do.

there have been a few of these, one of which i started. the wiring shouldn't be hard at all if you have a fsm. i considered buying camry gauges, and am trying to get cefiro ones, but matt_nz said he could hook us up and help order a bunch but he has been mia. i'll see what i can do in the next few days to advance the project again but who knows...

Please let me know, Jeff. I really do not want this project to die. PM me as soon as you find anything worthwhile, as I'll do the same!
