yeah sleeper ran...

right b4 his run they wet the track down...he drove through it and never burned his tires up to dry them off...he got a bad launch and i think he ran a 14.9...

BTW...supa lao did manage a 15.5 by the end of the night...

 

what mods did these guys have to run those times?

 

yup yup. I did manage my 15.5 on my last run. I was pleased w/ everything in my car, including my box too. I think that's a good run for the first time out.

Did any of you happen to see my 100% stock 2000 Maxima GXE??
Its a white 5-speed...

Made 3 passes on Saturday & 1 pass on Sunday...

Consistent 14.9's @ 93mph...
Best of which was a 14.93 @ almost 94mph...

Not bad for a completely stock Max w/ only 700 miles..hehe.

yep...just under 94 mph...

I beat Motor Trend's time for a 00' SE 5-speed by 2/10ths. the GXE is lighter than the SE...but then again...I'm 6'6" almost 300lbs...so i guess that equals things out...

I'm guessing the disparity is in either weather or driver skill...I am very experienced w/ hi-powered FWD cars (had a 446hp civic & i pilot my crewmembers 500HP+ civic)...I managed to pull a low 2.2 short time...that helps....

I plan on scanning my timeslips into the computer as soon as i get back from vacation....

you need to strip some sh*t off there for the 5th....low 15's w/o the box, spare tire and back seat...and of course some driver skill

thats why i said that ...hey you picked it up on your last run...a lil more practice and you'll be fine...

 

Yup, A few more races at the track and I'll be as good as Jeff...hehe..j/k It's not the same when you get up to tree. Personally, I was nervous as hell up there. Chris, you think you could do 16.5's w/ a few practice? My friend in the passat said he is down for the 5th.

 

Oh yea... All my friends tell me I can't drive. You think they can be right??

 

16.7 is probably really realistic...on my 16.9 run i had some wheelspin which probably hurt me a bit...plus my filter is rubbing the inside wheel wll robbing me of some power...ill fix that and see what happens i guess...
