Code scanner

Will the cheap OBDII scanners on ebay work for a 99(most of thes say they are for domestic cars)....the previous owner of my car broke the screw for the self-diagnosis and i need a scanner.

....or you can just take it to AUtozone and have them scan it for FREE.
