Trailer Wiring

Does anyone know what I need to wire for my trailer? I hear the Japanese cars take some kind of adaptor. Any truth to that? I have a 1998 Maxima GLE.

Thanks,
neil

the previous owner of my max thought it was a truck (cuz of the 4x4 stance im guessing) so its got a hitch, and yeah, it has an adapter thing too. ill go run down there in a bit and see what kind it is, but it doesnt look too hard, splice into a couple wires, run them through the adapter, and youre good to go.
