I searched but no cigar for me...

Are these really that necessary on the front? I put my SS brake lines on a few weeks ago and the clip on the strut popped off somewhere down the road. I couldn't get it on tight to begin with anyways. I'm just wondering if they actually do anything since the SS lines are quite a bit stiffer then stock lines.

Still keep the lines from rubbing where they shouldn't. If it were me I'd either buy another $2 clip or ziptie the thing - it is a brakeline.
