I'm converting my 1996 Maxima SE from auto to a LSD 5spd from a 1999 I30. The driver's side axle doesnt match up to the brake hub though...In other words, the splines that go through the hub are a smaller diameter than the hub itself. The axle I have is for a 1996 Maxima SE with LSD and manual.

I guess my question is, anyone done this type of 5spd conversion before, and if so, was it necessary to change the hub too? So far that's really the only thing I can think of since the parts store says the part number matches up to being the right part(the axle).
