I am new to the forum. I have been looking through posts and stickies and have not found an answer to my problem. I have a coolant leak that I can't pinpoint. It runs down the passenger side of the engine and drips off the oil pan on the corner by the A/C compressor. If I add coolant, the leak runs faster. This leak does not require the engine to be warm. The thermostat and water pump areas appear dry. Suggestions?

Seems like the weap hole for your Water pump....The leak wont come out of the cover when the water pump goes but it will seap out the seap hole underneat that cover, lower. First check that all your hoses are tight then. If they are, it seems like you need a water pump

Yeah, Matty is right. Faulty water pump seals until proven otherwise.

Sounds like that's it. I removed both splash shields and could not see the source because of the AC compressor. Is there an angle you can see that weap hole at?

Not that I'm aware with out removing the compressor.
That's the path it normally takes when it's coming from the weep hole.
I was losing a little bit but could never find the leak until I jacked up on the passenger side front wheel with the car running and then there it was, a steady drip...

Yup its the water pump, good luck with that. It is the biggest pain in the **** job I've ever had to deal with on my car. You have to remove the entire front timing chain cover which as you can see theres barely any room to work with. Its a good 5 to 6 hour job... for a $30 pump
