Today I beat my friend 01 Accord V6 200hp i believe, but he was automatic, and we only travel one street light, because there was too much traffic, we didn't get another race. Now, I just barely beat him I want to smoke him because he was automatic. Now if i get the WSP Y pipe 15hp would i be able to smoke HONDA for good?

 

This is exactly what I want to hear and have posted about it recently. I have a friend who bought a 1998 Honduh V6 in December. Its automatic. He has been taunting me but not so much recently because I've told him I'd smoke him. I have a 95SE with a 5-speed, 57,700 mostly highway miles. It has a K&N panel filter and a Budget y-pipe. We both run on 15" OEM wheels.

I take it yours is a 5-speed.

What are you doing racing from lights in traffic? Go somewhere more rural where there is no traffic and let me know what happened.

 

No a Y-pipe will not allow you to smoke Honda for good. will you do better against this accord? - yes and prob beat it depending on the race. While it is one of the best mods for the buck you will not be able to decimate all with it. Also what kinda race are you talkin about - if it was just one street light then (and i may be assuming to much here) the Honda prob was not able to reach its full potential since Hondas excel at higher rpms and speeds. try to steer clear of "can i beat such and such" type threads bc youll eventually get flamed and usually there are too many variables and scenarios involved to really decide between which car will beat which car - ie. type of race/driver skill...........

While an aftermarket y-pipe will give a relatively large performance gain, it's not like it's a bottle of nitrous...

I beat 01 V6 accords all day and night with just an intake right now from 0-80mph by 2-3 car lengths and i keep pulling even after that.
but when i had my ypipe, catback w/intake, i just beat them by a little more.
maybe you need to work on your launches?

LoL No i dont have the emblem LoL ...... I do agree that i need to work on my launch, although i did beat him when we were racing on just street light. Its my first manual car andthis is the second time ive race and it is VICTORY #2 !!!!! I just thought i would smoke the cra p out of him, but i didn't not. The first time i race was against LoL maxima(I didnt know what car it was at first) i smoke him real bad and then he looks at me at me and ask me what mod i had , i just told him stock!! He finally said ohh is manual huh I'm like YuP!!!
Since then, I bought 18' rims with new tires, I still haven't lower the car LoL I know there is a lot peeps who say that it looks like a 4X4 but it doesn't not. I agree that i will look a lot better thou. But I notice that if i get the spring i have to get the struts too, so that another thing i have to buy.
