Squeaking brakes

I recently replaced my front brake pads with Raybestos Quietstop ceramics. I greased the moving parts, compressed the piston correctly with a C-clamp, and put the calipers back together with all the original shims (not corroded or anything). When I apply the brakes slightly, there is a squeak, and it goes away after about 2 seconds. There is no squeak on heavy braking. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

get a bottle of those orange colored glue for brake shims. i have quietstop ceramics and used the orange stuff when installing. it never squeaked once. that or maybe try clearing your rotors with brake cleaner.

Does the orange stuff glue the shims to the pads or just provide some vibration dampening?
