ECU code question
ECU code question
I just finished replacing my knock sensor. (BTW, it took me and hour and a half, my arm looks like it was chewed on by a wolverine....but it is on.) anyway I took my car out for a drive and my check engine light came on, I reset my ECU it went off, then came on again. So I put my ECU into diagnostic mode. The service engine light blinks 10 times slowly goes off then blinks 5 times quickly, correct me if I'm wrong but this would be a 1005 code, which is a EGR solenoid malfunction. Now for the question, what is this, why would replacing my knock sensor set it off, and how much is it to fix? Thank you very much for anything you can do for me.

Make sure all your vacuum lines are reconnected as they were. It's not necessary to remove vacuum lines, but maybe you did while you were in there. Look in the FAQ or the service manual for the proper code interpretation, I don't have my references in front of me to confirm it.
