It's 190HP at the flywheel stock. Not at the wheels.

I bet you would have done slightly better with a pop charger intake or a modified (opened up) stock intake setup with a K&N pannel filter.

I'm gonna get flamed for this comment, but IMHO the Injen robs power!

those are great numbers optimus considering that you basically just have intake and exhaust. i still cant get over how dramatic the loss in power is after about 5k rpm. check out the torque curve- at like 6200 your only putting down about 130 ft.lbs compared to your high of 198.5. thats a loss of 68.5 ft.lbs . wow, i didnt realize how much a mevi would help.

man, those numbers are impressive.
with my current mods, i don't even think i can come close to that. i have 140k miles on my car right now, and after the mevi installation, i am getting 6 codes having to do with the vacuum system. don't know if my car can pull out such good numbers...word

yeah, jwt ecu with 7200 limit will give him good wings to 200hp. i don't see many N/A 4th gen maxima's go to 200 hp's. this guy probably will make it. it's in my dreams to get to 200 hp. keep up the good work.

Yeah I wish I knew how to hook up a 00VI
But yeah that would be wheel HP and TQ. I don't think I want a UDP since I gotta power my system, but maybe an ECU and MEVI will make a little more power

Good to see optimus... I'm curious to see what I get when I dyno in a few weeks given that I've got pretty much the exact same mods (minus the clutch) and my car's a 98 not a 97...

What I find interesting is that he makes his max torque and horsepower at 5200 RPMS. Usually torque maxes at 4000 and drops. His tricks him at about 3800 rpms and goes down but out of nowhere shoots up to 198 at around 5000. And I can't believe how smooth his hp curve. You would swear he had a MEVI or 00VI before the 5200 rpm mark. Very interesting Dyno. Nice job on the numbers.

Yes, his curve does look a bit odd. That dip does not look right. He should be making peak torque at 4.5K not be dropping there.

What type of dyno was this?

well if you look at it right I'm making max TQ at 4600-4700 after that it just stays flat until the 5200 Mark.
As for the dyno I don't know what kind they have. I don't know much about the different dyno machines there is. Thought it was Dynojet like it says on the paper
I was there with a bunch of sentra Spec V guys, and there HP curves were not very smooth like mine.

ok it was in fact a dynojet 248x. It looked just like this one
http://www.dynojet.com/automotive_dy...dyno/index.php
It even had the stickers

yeah nice numbers man but something has to be done about the top end cause if starts going down after 5200 rpm, you are just loosing more power as closer you get to redline which is at 6600 rpm. so it seems like the best time to shift would be around 5200-5300 rpm.

Hey Optimus, when did you get your headers?

Just asking because mine are ceramic coated but it doesn't look the ones in the pic are. Did Cattman not always make them with the coating I wonder?

Are you serious? Look at the average HP from 4.5K-6.5K then from 3.2 - 5.2K. Sure the torque drops off but the rpm's are high enough to still create enough HP

They are also ceramic coated. I got them about a year or 2 ago when the first batch was made.
