300zx BBK question

i have read that you have to mill down 3mm on the rotors to make this possible. The thing is, it is said to mill down 3mm on the radius of the rotor? is that right? or do they mean mill down 3mm thickness wise of the rotor? please get back to me asap. thanx guys.

3+ mm of the radius....not the thickness. When I did mine I just turned down the edge and kept test fitting them. Not too hard.

you know what, that is so weird, because when i got the rotors, they were like the same size as my stock rotors, so why do you have to mill down the radius?
weird thing is that when i got the rotors, i thought that they were already milled down, so i just put them on anyways, and after i was done with everything, it seemed like the brake pads were totally pressed against the rotor, like someone was pushing on the brake pedal, so i thought it was the thickness that i had to mill down 3mm.

Can you explain to me how making the radius smaller will make them fit?
i just want to make sure and understand exactly, before i get them milled down. thanx.
