I am looking for some answers for two items. But first let me just say that this forum is just about the neatest thing I have seen yet!
The first item is a Venom 400. Based on what I see about it on different web pages is that between 1000 and 5000 RPM you get a 25% increase in HP. That is over 45 HP, based on my calculations, for the price of $300.00! That just sounds too good to be true. So I want to know if any one has used one of these or knows anything else about it.

The other thing is that a company named PowerAid makes throttle body spacers. This is an increase of power and torque based on the same principles that the tunnel Ram is based on. But they have added a new twist literally. They put grooves on the inside of the spacer so that the air actually spirals when it enters into the manifold. They clam that you get 5-8 HP, 13 Ftlbs, and 10% better mileage. They say that they only make them for Frontiers and Pathfinders. I also have a Frontier and could not see how it would not work on my 97 Max, so I got on and it does work. I don't have any numbers as of yet, but I was wondering if anybody else has seen these one of these or used one.
Thanks for the help, and if you think that somebody is blowing smoke in my face tell me. I don't want to spend money on JUNK!

There was some talk about the Venom on this forum about 1-1/2 years ago. IIRC, one person bought one and had ZERO performance gain. I think it raised the rpm limit and removed the speed limiter, other than that, nada. I seem to recall a lot of discussion about not being able to get any straight answers from them. Do a search for the old thread.

As for as the other item, I would have to see the results on a dyno. It seems strange to me that racers spend thousands of hours straightening out air flow and then we have these companies trying to sell some sort of vertex inducer.

Thanks for the help. I currently have the spacer on my car it was only $80.00, and the car is a little more Torquie. As for the mileage I got 25MPG out of my last tank. But on that tank the first half I installed my Stillen exhaust, and rear anti-sway bar. I did not install the spacer until the last half of the tank. I also tried to feel how much power it had, so I was gunning it quite a bit. I have a G-Tech so I will try to play with that to see what it says. It is not a Dyno, but it is close. Thanks again.
