Brake Question

I recently replaced my rear brake pads. I notice now that the rotors are partialy rusted like the pad only comes in contact with part of the rotor. Is there any way to adjust the pads?

They are either installed incorrectly or you have binding brake components.
Did you regrease the caliper guide pins?
Did you make sure the nubs on the caliper's piston line up with the cut outs on the back of the brake pads?
Did you use new shims or reuse your old ones?
