Why didn't you ask Nissan when you were picking up the part? Buy a Haynes manual if you are going to work on your car.-

look by the drivers side rear tire. there is a black box. connected to the black box is the control valve. MAKE SURE U GOT THE RIGHT CONTROL VALVE. Nissan redid the control valve/canister combo. the parts are not necessarily interchangeable. one type of valve sits FLUSH ONthe canister and the other valve fits INSIDE the canister. make sure u got the valve that fits the existing canister on ur car

What evap codes did you get?

From what I've read there can be several reasons for that stupid light to come on for evap issues. You might not even need that part. Get on the org first and ask about your issue and maybe another member might have had the same dilemma, then start spending money at the dealership instead buying something first and asking where it goes.

Be a little careful with the plastic cover and its snap things, if you break them Nissan would be glad to troubleshoot it for 1 hr and another 1/2 to replace!

Good deal, replacement should clear up your prob. Some folks here said to try cleaning it which wasted my time way back when.....good luck with that boost sensor (or purge control whatever they decided to call it this month *LOL*)
