Quick Question about cv boot replacement

Quick Question about cv boot replacement

well yeah i got everythign apart and cleaned it and put the new boot on and used the cv boot grease and everything is back together except teh clamps that hold the boot in place. there are 2 of them. do you guys that have done this job use the old ones or get new ones from nissan? i am asking cause i tried to get the old ones on to the boot but couldnt for some reason. thanks for the advice.

My boots came as a kit from Nissan with new grease, snap rings, boots, and clamps.

Boots generally come with new clamps. Then you use a special tool that will squeeze and crimp the boot clamps so the stay tight.

yeah then i am screwed cause i removed the boots from a axle that was damaged. now i need to get clamps. i hope nissan sells them seperatly.
