The dealer says I have a very small leak from the transmission position sensor in my '97 5-speed. He said $160 for parts and labor for a new one he is ordering. Is this reasonable? Should I do this job myself instead?

A very small leak? I'd leave it alone.

If you have mechanical aptitude you can do this repair yourself. Refer to the Chilton repair manual (page 7-13) or the Haynes repair manual (page 7B-7).
