What would be the best tire size for performance, looks and
gas mileage all in one..17"? Should i use different tires for winter vs. summer? I'm in New Eng. As always thanks for input

17's are cheaper, smoother, lighter, more available, and less likely to be pothole damaged than a larger wheel. IMHO, they are a nice balance of performance, looks, cost, and ride. If you choose an all-season tread, you can use them in the winter too.

Larger wheels look nice, but there's always a compromise. In this case there's a few. You have to give up alot for "the look".

I went with 18's, but if I was to do it all again, I'd prolly go with the 17"

If you are looking for a good performance tire with all season traction, then try the Dunlop SP5000. Both Tirerack and Discount Tire recommend it very highly. I have those tires and they are excellent. The ride deteriorates considerably with larger wheels though, so weigh your options carefully.

Rims and Tires

I have 17" with Yokohama Avid H4's So far so good, nice quiet ride, and good traction
