how would a Chrome Maxima be..?

It looks like another car that I've seen before, that like the Audi, was made of aluminum. IIRC, the bare aluminum was highly polished and had a finish like that. It's unique, I'll say that....actually, it's stupid. So what happens if you don't wash it like every day or every other day? It's gonna look like a$$. Waste of money IMO.

Hate to see that Audi driver when it rains. What will happen when a bird poops on his car? You'd better hope soneone doesn't do the dent-and-run on this car.And this guy better have a lifetime gold membership at the local car wash! It looks alright....but there's a reason it,A:doens't get featured as a factory option and B: is only on show cars. Chrome is no good on cars unless they spend their days sitting still on a showroom or museum. No Max deserves to be condemned to stationary confinement!Ther'e made to be driven, not painted "pretty" and locked in some all-glass pris... oops, I mean museum. What's the fun in having a car so shiny that you're worrying about some crackhead getting so much as his fingerprints on your car?

i saw a completely ploished aluminum jag a car show once and the damn thing looked ugly. it was covered in finger prints. it looked all blotchy and disgusting. so i think it looks kinda hot for about 10 mintes til someone touches it.

Yeah, but if you guys had the other pic of that A8, you'd know that the only person who could AFFORD to have an ALUMINUM car chromed is Middle Easterns who own very large oil companies. I guess that makes it so the Max would be indeed easier to chrome, but probably not a 4th Gen, more than likely a 6th.
And the A8 isn't paint like that Max is...

its paint.. its acutally spayed on the car.. cost of the paint 5 gs a gallon... about 3-4 used on that audi.. very unique car indeed, was bought the 1st day of the auto show in dubai. its really nice, but not the same chrome look as lets say chrome rims just for one reason, they didnt come up with an idea of how to make a container big enough that they can dip an audi A8 in it.

Yea Ive seen the M3 with the complete chrome paint job it took them a couple of months to complete the paint job and it all cost around 16 grand if I remember correctly amazing after it was all done id like to know how muc the touch up paint goes for haha

its not chrome, its polished aluminum. It wouldnt be possible for the maxima because it is not made of aluminum like the Jag and audi are. Yes, you could "chrome" a maxima but it would be slightly different than the audi and jag.

there are companies that actually make and sell chrome paint. it isn't exact chrome- chrome being a multi step process of cleaning and adhering a coating to metal- but the paints are something like 85% reflective which makes it close enough.
its not much more expensive than ppg or dupont basecoat/clearcoat. it comes ready to spray out of the can from most of the distributors, unlike ordinary paint which you can reduce. but they are all tintable with other paints, blue red green chrome- not unlike color changing house of kolor sheet.
decided before i got started using this paint that an entire car chrome would be far to bright and shiny to not get hassled over. but as far as using it on smaller pieces, i see a great deal of my own personal style in it. side mirrors and window pillars like an audi rs6? how about a stock 5.5gen grille in chrome or taillight housings?
