95-96 stillen lip question

Does the stillen lip come up over the very bottom of the bumper and fenders or does it attach to the bottom?

I ask because I have some rust on the bottoms of both the fenders. I ground it down and painted last year on one of them, but it seems to be coming back after the winter...must not have got all the rust. It seems to stop at the groove thats maybe 1/2-1" up from the bottom so I was thinking rather than eventually replacing the fenders maybe I could just cut the **** off and cover it up with a stillen lip and save a few buck and have an excuse (sp?) to get a stillen lip . So will my ghettofication work?

No I don't. I would think if it comes up at all it would come up the crease that's naturally in the fenders, but maybe not.

i just went out and looked. it comes right to the very top of the groove. as long as u got no rust above it, it will be covered.

Nice. Thanks for checking. I'll have to see where this goes. Where did you get the lip? I'd probably just either wait for one to pop up in the classifieds or go with SWA unless you know of a cheaper alternative.
