I JUST INSTALLED THE FACTORY FOGLIGHTS TODAY WHICH I GOT FROM COURTESY AND THE WHOLE KIT WAS SIMPLE TO INSTALL TOOK ME A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR, I DID EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR INSTALLING THE BLACK PLASTIC TRIM THAT GOES AROUND THE EDGE OF THE HOLE THAT YOU CUT IN THE BUMPER. THAT GAVE ME THE HARDEST TIME IT DIDNT WANT TO BEND AROUND THE CURVES, DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SIMPLE WAY TO INSTALL THESE? BY THE WAY THE FOGS LOOK GOOD, ITS JUST MISSING THAT TRIM.

If you can tell me, what web site did you go for those fog lights and how much did you pay, thanks.

I did this to my car about 2 weeks ago, yeah, that stuff just doesn't want to go on. What I found to work was sticking a small flat blade screwdriver in the crack of the molding and sort of leading it open and onto the bumper. Just be very careful not to scratch the paint. Be patient and it will work.

I used a hair dryer to heat it up in each corner so it would hold the shape of the tight curve better. After I got the first corner looking good, I installed some more until I got to the next corner, then heated it there.

There is adhesive already injected in the fold of the tubing.

BTW, please turn your caps lock off; no need shouting here.

Factory Fog Lights Installed by dealer

I had Wright Nissan in Wexford, PA install foglights on my 1996 GLE two weeks ago and they didn't install any kind of trim! Now I'm wondering what I paid for? In fact when I picked up the car, the lights were not positioned the same way in the holes they cut, which I had them correct. In any case, there is a space around each light between the plastic bumper and each light. I wonder if they failed to put the trim on or if they used a different kind of kit. They charged me $250 for the kit and $200 to install it.

Thr trim/gasket is in the kit. This was something that you could have had someone do by themselves. It takes about 45 minutes. Go back to the dealer and have them install it.

yeah i agree with medicsonic, the trim is in the kit, maybe they were having the same problem i did putting them on and just said forget it, and you could have installed the lights yourself and saved $200 it`s a very easy procedure, i was surprised myself, i thought i was going to be more difficult.

$200 for a dealer install. Man, I was just thinking about getting the kit and if i didnt have time to install the lights just have the dealer do it the next time I brought my car in for service. Forget that.
