SS brake lines
SS brake lines
I tried to change the brake lines my self, but only seem to be rounding off the bolt into the stock lines. Im guessing the winter wisconsin has made them rust. Every shop ive call said they cant do it! I'm like what if i had a hole in one of my lines and they tell me they can only use there parts. I know you need a line wrench, ill try and soak one with rust remover. I was thinking of getting some heat there but afraid i might just melt the stock rubber lines.
HELP! anyone in my area or a drive away that could help PM me.

Is this the front line that you're talkin about? Those are definitely tougher than the rears. I actually think nissan put some locktite or similar compound in that part. At any rate, I rounded off my bolt as well, but eventually got it off using locking pliers or vise grips. My suggestion is you try clamping those down hard and give 'em a good yank.

Use Vise grips on the bottom of the line where it meets the metal part and take a 10mm open ended wrench and loosen the metal part..IT will go, Trust me
The Vise Grips are used to keep the rubber line from moving...twist one, one way, and the 10mm open ended the other....
