(y pipe)

god i just had to put my stock pipe back on for smog. and i find taht my rear heated o2 wont come out. so ya i get the thing out have a hell of a time putting my old one back in cause i had 2 stripped nuts and plus i was already tired and ya.so now i have an o2 stuck in my y pipe and i have a plug in the pipe thats in now. ive tried everythign i have my y pipe on a vice and i tried getting it out like taht . i heated it up with a heatgun it got hot enough to were it would melt my glove and i couldnt touch it still wouldnt come out sprayed stuff on it still wont come out i guess i need to buy a new o2 but then figure somthing out when i want to put my y pipe ( not stock) one on. sorry if its hard to understand its 2 and ive been up since early this morning. all i have to say is goodnight and ugh

I so hear you..... i spent easter holiday under my car till i gave up and took it to the shop where i got ...but oh well... $150 labor + 2 02 sensors since old ones were bad. ( i saw them myself)

same here, I could not get one of the bolts off. Had to put it back together and take it to the shop for $100. Oh well.

well my y pipe wasnt stuck. just the o2 and its still in the aftermarket y. so i ordered o new one so i can pass smog. no wi just need to get the old one out somtime. so i can put it back in after i pass smog. ove been trying everything. i might have to cut it out and get somthing tahts that thread and weld it in there.

anyone else ever get there o 2 stuck in there. if so how did you get it out?

treid. its not rust i know that for sure tehre is anti seeze on it .its cross threaded. thanks though. man this forum is way better than any other forum everyone else is a holes when you ask a question and even though somtimes everyone get a little out of hand its like a faimly . thanks guys, any one cut out the part where it screws in and weld a new receptical on there? i just dont want to buy a whole new pipe.

ya just because it all the places here u leave your car in the morning and pick it up later. so it will cool down to much to pass.

happy to say i finaly got it out. just kept wrenching on it and put some 3 in 1 on it and it came right out of tehre. the top 2 threads are stripped out of the y pipe so either im gunna file them down or im gunna try to re tap it . im not sure yet . anyways thank for those who posted.
