ok guys...wish I could post pics but I dont think I can since I only have 100+ posts...old brown cloth interior NOW HAS-4 black leather door panels, 2 front black leather seats along with black floor mats...post your email addreses and I will send the pics...it really looks good...basically im just trying to turn everything into black..the doors and front seats are all black now...soon I will get the back seat in leather and eventually change all the interior pieces to black...its a long process...but for all of you with brown cloth-it dosent cost much to do for what I did and looks really good...I really like the contrast with black and brown...I got the 4 grey cloth door panels for 50$ and bought black vinyl/leather inserts(40$) and glued em in there..then I bought the black handles and window switch pieces for a total of 50$...then the front seats were about 100$...post your email and ill send you pics...total cost with tools about 250$..

Max4speed...no I only did the 4 door panels and front black leather seats...the difference is dramatic though...theres obviously a whole lot more black in there...soon to come will be the dash and other black pieces like the pillars...btw-anyone know if taking out the main front dash is complicated...I would have no idea even how to start at this

jongordo8@aol.com..you have mail

Taking apart the dash is very easy! I actually parted out another I30 and took me 1.5 hours to rip every single thing apart from that car's interior.

BTW My car had factory tan leather interior to begin with and 2 years ago I went through "Project Interior Swap"

Thanks for sending the pics. It's looking good so far. Only think I didn't like was the door inserts. Other than that, it's coming along pretty good. Was the steering wheel already black or did you change that also?

Foward your pictures to skiptronic@gmail.com. I'm currently in the middle of the interior swap as well. So far I've replaced the interior carpet with black. Nothing else has changed yet. Any pointers?

Looking forward to it. I'll share my interior carpet swap experience with you as well. I spent well over six hours doing it, only cause I had to think about every single cut and everything.

zero project...my whole plan is to try and get everything black...piece by piece I guess...1st I got the black floor mats off ebay which were cheap and look great...then I got the front leather seats both power-the original passenger seat wasnt power but there was a wire ziptied to the carpet underneath that Nissan must have put in in case someone wanted to add a power seat...so that turned out great...now I have dual power seats...I have an SE-not sure which maximas have the prewire for power pass. seat.....that was pretty straight foward-4 bolts off and 4 bolts on...putting in the front seats were easy...then I bought 4 black/grey cloth door panels for 50 bucks...then I bought 4 vinyl black inserts to glue over the cloth which actually turned out really nice...I bought them off ebay from a seller...I wasnt really happy with the fitment-I had to cut the pieces to get them to fit right without having too much vinly sticking out of the sides of the insert area...I was actually pretty pissed...your better off just going to buy fabric and cut it a little bigger and glue it in there...I actually didnt use spray adhesive..I used a glue like adhesive-much easier to work with...that spray crap dosent really stick ... swaping out the door panels wasnt too hard for my 1st time...only thing that is tuff is getting the door handle cup off....theres a few clips that you gotta reach a flat head underneath there and try and pop them undone without cracking them which I did...I cracked 1 but after that I knew how to do it.....I really like the results...it feels so good to get into my car...I love all the black...ive never done a carpet or swapped a dash...im a bit off a newb when it comes to this stuff...still learning.... but hey arent we all....any questions just ask

also zero project-do you have an HID kit?....what kind and all that jazz?-im looking to get one but I dont know anything about them, hard to install?...your sig pic looks real nice with those lights ...

again guys just post your email addy and ill send you the pics of the 4 black leather door panels and black leather seats

How about you send the pictures to me and I will host them for a week? Or if the thread gets popular - I'll host them for longer...

It's retarded to have people post their e-mail addresses on here and you send them pictures.

I'll take care of you: my e-mail address is SVTCobraR@cheatcc.com

Your Maxima's interior is coming along great. I wish mine was that far along as well. Here's mine.

I think what I'm going to do is try and find someone whose parting out their car, and just buy the entire interior and swap the pieces. People were telling me not to paint things cause it gets really shiny and it fades.

Haha thanks for the compliment but no, I don't have any HIDs. The car in that picture is completely stock.

I defintitely agree with no painting...even after mine dried I could still press real hard and put a fingerprint in it...I like the way the black nissan stock plastic pieces look...swapping is the best...

as for finding the pieces I think its easy just swapping it in is hard...just go to a junk yard or call them and find out if they what u need

I dont know why I thought u had hid's ..lol....car looks nice and clean man...I like the black carpet

hey could you send me pics too. I'm at mcnasty360@aol.com. My interior is interesting. I think it's stock, but it is a two tone leather package. The dash and door leather is black but the leather inserts in the door and the actual seats are brown. I love the black leather, but I really really wanted the black dash and wheel. I was wondering if this is a common set up. I thought it would be easier to convert everything to black too. Oh yeah the carpets are black too.

I hope you continue with your tan-black interior swap. I think it will look bangin' once all black. I hate my tan interior...

black maxima!!...I forgot that was you who had the "what to do with brown interior" post....dude your interior looks really good!...very unique....im trying to get everything in mine black thats why I did all black door panels...fyi-I got 4 black door panels for 50 bucks, picked them up from an org'r close to me ...then I put the black vinyl over the grey cloth.....your inserts looks really good...proly better than mine...I had a tuff time tucking the vinyl back in the door panel.....whered u get your black vinyl from ?? ...

also I was thinking that with your door panels..if you put black leather seats in, that would look bad ***..cause it would contrast with the brown/black panels...keep me updated

Thank you! I like my interior too, but it was tough putting the vinal back onto the door.

It's kind of hard to explain how I did it. First, I cut a piece of vinal and glued the middle of it to the door. Then, with a small flat bladed screw driver I "tucked" the edges into the crease around the insert. I made sure it was all the way into the crease. After that, I stuck a pen in the crease and drew a line. That line told me the correct shape and size the vinal pice had to be. I cut the vinal about 1/16" bigger than the line all the way around by only taking part of it out at a time. I made sure it fit perfectly and then without taking the whole vinal piece off, I glued part/half of the vinal piece to the door. I let it dry and then did the other half. That way I made sure the vinal would be lined up. I did come into a problem when the vinal had glue on it. It was really hard to tuck into the crease. I had to work my way around it with a screw driver. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but it was worth it.

I got the black vinal from a closet upstairs in my house. HAHA You could probably get it at JoAnne Fabrics or A.C. Moore.

McNasty360 - I sent you a PM. I will be able to host your pictures.
