Oil leaking Rear Main

How hard/ how many hour is it to replace this seal? Ive got the good old leak all over the oil pan and up top i see it on wires. So its gotta be the rear or oil sensor. I got hanes which ill check out. just want info from peeps that did it and what seal to buy.

Oil pressure sensor is easy to replace. Disconnect the sensor connection & remove the old & install the new. To replace the rear main seal you have to drop the trans, or pull the motor(dropping the trans is alot easier/cheaper) If you have oil on the pan, it might not be the rear main. Clean the entire area & see if you can see where the oil is coming from. There is a small hole below the rear main seal w/ a removable cover plate.(1 10mm bolt) You would be able to see oil coming directly from that hole if it was your rear main. It could just be your secondary oil pan gasket.

Well could be, what about the rear valve cover could it be that? where exactly is that oil pressure sensor? Its like oil is dripping down off the oil pan and also over across this bar back a little bit with 3 big bolts. As i look up its all over this wire harness and its all over higher up also. so the oil pressure sensor could be it, cross my fingers i hope cuz that would be an easy fix!

Find out how much a clutch install is. Unless your clutch is under 15k miles or so, I would replace it at the same time. The rear main seal should be about an hour labor extra plus part.
