i got a question too because im seeing so many possibilities for shock and spring combination. i dont want to spend more than $500 on the suspension. whats my best option. should i just go with the tokiko suspension kit from custommaxima.com

Best bang for buck (i.e. cheap)

Struts: KYB GR2 (slighltly stiffer OEM replacement, not true performance strut)
Springs: Tein H-tech OR Progress Sport Springs

(Eibachs are too stiff to go with cheap struts, so stay away unless you get AGX or Illumina struts. Similar for S-techs. They aren't stiff, but they drop the car too much for cheapy struts to handle.)

If you can afford just a few dollars more

Struts: KYB AGX or Illuminas
Springs: Tein H-tech, Progress Sport Springs OR Eibach

While I've had good luck with GR2s, others have reported them blowing prematurely with lowered springs. True sports struts are probably a better choice if you can afford it, though there are no guarantee they won't blow-out early as well.
