On my way ... out of a 4th gen

Well guys, it's been a while on here with you all, but I'm selling my car. You won't have to endure all the stupid questions I ask - the 5th Gen forum may have to endure them now.

I am not sure what I will get, but I am leaning towards a 5.5 Gen at the moment. I will know for sure once my car sells.

I want to thank everyone in the 4th Gen forum who contributes frequently. There are too many to mention individually, but you have all been a wonderful help and your time and dedication to education about the 4th Gen is admirable and appreciated.

I may still pop my head in now and then, but I thought this big news was enough to warrant a post.

Your signature indicates you already own an '01 SE. Is that correct? Why don't you keep your 98SE and sell your '01 and get an '03?

'01 is the wife's car. Lots of miles already ... she drives about 30k miles a year so we're keeping it until the wheels fall of it ... we're incredibly upside down on it right now. However, it does have an engine and clutch in it with about 20k on them

Why would the engine have to be replaced on an 01 Max? Doesn't make any sense unless its been badly overheated, caught on fire or run out of oil somehow.

5.5 gen is sickness, I'm sure you'll make a good choice. Good luck on the sale.
