idle problem

ok so we did the whole clean out the im thing this weekend, cleaned the TB and the iacv (again) and the egr down pipe. saturday when we got it back together the idle was adjusted by ear and it was sitting right around 700 but was slowly searching. the drive home was fine and today when I start it it starts off at 2k for a few seconds and drops to 1500 then 1200 then eventually 900 and I turned the screw on the iacv that was adjusted before but the idle wouldnt lower, I even screwed it down to where it was closed and the idle didnt lower, i screwed it back out to almost where it was but what do I do now? also the black plug on the side of the TB was removed and theres a sprung rod inside, it was put back to where it looked like it was supposed to be but I wasnt the one looking at it when that happened so umm can you guys help me out?

ok so the tps was removed and put immediately back on, the tps is adjusted as low as it gets and the iacv is almost closed its screwed so low, should the sprung rod under the tps be turned a half turn lower?

if you take the tps off you have to adjust properly if no it going to idle high low and rough also it will cause stalling causing the check engine light to come on

you need an ohm meter and a feeler gauge to adjust the tps also idle speed must be readjusted sounds like you screwed up your car there's no high or low for adjusting the tps and the iacv idle speed 700 rpm tps sensor feeler gauge 12m and 16mm gauge with an ohm meter so you can set the tps to close when you hit the gas so the ecu doesnt think the car is idling anymore

well looks like my only option is to take it down and see how much to fix my **** up, i took it 200 miles away from home to do this work and it was fine coming home but today this happened, same as formeraccord owner, cleaned his tb and the idle is at 1k, i know its not going to blow up i just dont like it. i really dont have much for tools yet cause I cant afford them, daycare is expensive and all.

ok so the tps was replaced correctly, it was readjusted anyways at the dealer today and all I can think of is that since everything was cleaned out it was just idling higher, the tech told me that since I have a breather on the valve cover instead of the pcv hose that it is going to idle higher and I should put it back. so I have another mid pipe coming in the mail and that should fix the prob.....anyone else have problems with putting a breather filter on the valve cover??
