my rear brakes look bad all maxes have the whole disk silver because the whole pad is been used but mines look fine in the inner part but in the outer they look corroded with like rust glazed on the rotors and when im going fast my brakes suck, my sisters honda accord brakes way better and hondas have alway been know for crappy brakes. and my pads look thick not worn from the outside......any suggestion, im doing my brakes soon with rotors and pads so i want to know if i need calipers too...

From what your describing it sounds like you caliper slide pins are frozen. Remove the calipers, Then remove the slide pins clean it out with brake cleaner the use a high temp grease

My brakes just suck to begin with. I have to press the pedal down real far to stop. It isn't fun to drive. My mom's 2000 GXE has some real nice, sensative brakes. I want to check if I have any air bubbles in my lines.

Atleast they look cool...

What did you use to paint your calipers? I like.

I used high temp (500 degree) engine spray paint. The color is "Ford Red" and I bought it at AutoZone. I didn't spray the paint on, I used a paint brush. I sprayed the paint into a cup and used it that way.

My brakes still suck B@llz...

when is the last time you actually CHANGED the brake fluid? Don't forget, brake fluid is HYGROSCOPIC which means it absorbs water. The longer you go without changing it, the less effective it will be over time. FLUSH everything, and make sure you have no leaks as well. Check the level of your brake pads as well, b/c obviously, as they wear, the more pedal travel is required..

This is what happend. I bought the Maxima and brought it to the dealer for all new pad, rotors, and calipers in the rear. They also bled the brake system. When I got the car back I noticed I had to push the pedal down farther than before. I told that to my dad and he test drove the car. He said that it wasn't really a problem. But, obviously there is since my mom's 2000 GXE has really sensative brakes and there is a BIG difference. My dad's 2002 Toyota Sequioa can stop faster and easier than my car.

So, I guess my next step would probably be to change the brake fluid. I checked the brake fluid thing and it is right under FULL. I don't suspect any leaks along the lines either.
