Also how do you ajust the ride stiffening in the rear, do you have to take them off and turn them. Someone with Koni struts Holla

The rear Koni's can be adjusted in the rear to raise the height of the back of the car. There is a silver ring that the thing that holds the bottom part of the spring sits on. You have to move this ring up until it sits in grooves that are on the strunt about 1/4-1/2 of an inch up from the lowest setting. I did this and it raised the rear a lot, but then again it needed it as my stereo was making it sit about at the tires where the front was about 1.5 fingers of gap. They are about level now. I do worry about the stability of them being in that position. I know it doesn't look too stabile when you do it, and there is some creaking when someone sits in the back seat, but it fixes the problem.

As for adjustment, you have to take the rear ones off and completely compress them and turn them in the correct direction to change it. . . It can be a pain.

What about those rubber inserts for the springs? Would that help? I've seen them come in either 1"/1.5" square blocks or the round, 1.5" tall circular ones that fit the contour of the spring. I'm looking forward to the time when I'm gonna go on a road trip and carrying people and a full trunk.

Koni question, Holla!

Thanks Adidas Boy, What did you use to take the ring off. Is all the weight of the car then siting on this ring. I have a system too and the back sags compared to the front.
Again about the stiffening ajustment. Do you just compress the spring, then when it is loose just turn the polished shaft by hand. Which way do you turn it for a stiffer ride. Need step by step. I'm new to this. Holla.

Well I kinda did it a ghetto way. . . Me and 2 friends jacked up the car, and took off the wheel. Then we used a strap, like one you would use when hauling stuff in the back of a truck to secure stuff down, that had teeth on it and used it as a spring compressor. We compressed the spring enough so that it we could move the ring. The ring should be sitting on a lip toward the missle of the strut, right under the platform where the spring was sitting. I had to loosen it with a hammer and screwdriver, but it didn't take that much force. I then moved everything up until it fit in the slot, it should be easily seen, and released the tension slowly on the spring making sure it was in the right position. . . Did the same with the other side. Took about 45 minutes total.

As for the rears. . . You have to take them completely off the car, as the bump stops will prevent adjustment while on the car. Then turn it upside down, so the metal part is facing the ground, and completely compress the strut and while compressed turn the metal part. . . I forget what direction though. . . Then you can put it back on the car. It is a pain in the ***, but it is the only way. If you are going to adjust the rears anyway, then you probably don't have to worry about raising the car the way I described above.
